Summary Description

Saturday 10th August 2019

The Church of St Thomas the Martyr, Winchelsea

Doors open at 6.00 pm and the concert begins at 7.00 pm

Tickets are £15 per person to include a glass of wine and a donation bar will be available.

With a short interval, the evening is expected to conclude at 8.30pm.

Now in its second year, this concert is a culmination of the highly successful Summer Master Classes held at The Steps, Rye, featuring musicians from Conservatoires from the UK and overseas. The Course Director is the internationally renowned pianist Alberto Portugheis, who also hosts his legendary annual Master Classes in November at the Steinway Hall in London, now held in the name of The Foundation.

This year's performers are Nicolas Absalom, Angel Laguna, Laura Mercedes Sanchez, Natalie Molloy and Giancarlo Staffetti. The programme will include works by Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Liszt and Chopin.

This is a unique opportunity to hear these talented musicians before they present their recitals in London the following week at the prestigious venues of St Martin-in-the-Fields and St James' Piccadilly.

A buffet will also be available at the historic Court Hall after the concert. Tickets for this event are £12 per head (to include a glass of wine).  There will also be a donation bar.  As numbers are limited, please confirm your attendance by Saturday 3rd August 2019.
