Lorraine BANNING - Regional Organiser for Bedford Town

My Grandmother was a professional pianist and I began playing the piano at around 7 years old, from my first lesson I fell completely in love with it.

I run a busy private teaching practice in Bedford and have recently taken up a Piano Teaching Role at Bedford Girls' School, I  am also  on the 'deputy' teacher list for the Guildhall School of Music's Junior Guildhall department.

I continue to study and to perform and believe that we never stop learning. I enjoy performing very much and I also believe that performing enhances and informs our teaching, music is a life long journey.

I have been an EPTA RO for several years now and during that time have run and hosted many events, discussion groups, workshops and performances, including the EPTA Competition which I will host again in January 2018.

We have been lucky enough to have some wonderful visiting Music Educators, Composers and Performers such as Paul Harris, Elena Cobb, Graham Fitch, Mark Polishook and more recently, Leslie Howard.
