The Importance of Creative Thinking When Practising and Playing
The original concept of the “Artistic Image” in music was first mentioned by the prominent piano teacher Heinrich Neuhaus in his book “The Art of Piano Playing” (1967). In this seminar, EPTA UK Trustee Yulia will explore this theoretical concept further and turn it into a learning and development session – participants will receive practical interpretation development advice and the tools to improve their music score perception. The seminar is aimed to boost pianists’ creative and critical thinking which in turn should make their interpretations more interesting. This is a practical session with interactive learning and discussion, not a lecture.
