Eternal Wonders Concert
with EPTA member, Alberto Portugheis on piano.
I am delighted to be performing again with the excellent London Concert Sinfonia under the baton of Maestro George Hlawiczka. We shall collaborate in Mozart’s masterpiece, Piano Concerto No.23, of whose middle movement critics said ‘it was dictated by God’. We open the concert joined by the superb soprano Marion Wilmann in Ch’io mi scordi di te, for soprano, piano and orchestra, a work the great Mozartian pianist/conductor Mitsuko Uchida described as “the best aria that Mozart wrote”.
