Incorporating Musicianship and Enhancing Aural Understanding in the Piano Lesson Based on Edwin Gordon’s Music Learning Theory
with Marta Maroto

This session builds on the knowledge acquired in Melanie Jones’s webinar on 1 March and focuses on one of the key ideas that makes Music Learning Theory (MLT) both effective and accessible: the skill sequence. 🎹

Participants will deepen their understanding of how musical skills develop and how thoughtful sequencing of musical elements can support students’ aural development and overall musicianship. Piano teachers will gain practical tools for structuring learning in a way that fosters deep musical understanding, along with specific activities that can be directly applied in piano lessons.

  • When? Sunday 15th March, 3pm
  • Where? Online, Zoom.
