Join Melanie Jones on Sunday 1st March as she delivers Musicianship and Growth Mindset: Reflections on Music Learning Theory. This presentation offers a short, practical introduction to selected ideas from Edwin Gordon’s Music Learning Theory (MLT).

Drawing on the experiences of piano teacher and accompanist Melanie, it explores how engaging with MLT can provide rich food for thought in relation to both piano teaching and performing. The session invites reflection on musical understanding, learning processes, and assumptions about abilities in both students and teachers.
