Congratulations to our ‘Young Pianist of the Month’ (November 2025) – Isabella Lu.
Eleven-year-old pianist Isabella Lu studies with Professor Dina Parakhina and Yulia Chaplina. In 2025, she won the EPTA UK Piano Competition (12 & Under, London Region) and, at the age of ten, was awarded First Prize in the Munich International Piano Competition (Category A).
Also an accomplished violinist, Isabella has led her primary school orchestra and continues to enjoy performing chamber music at school. In 2025, she received the Baldacchino Piano Prize as winner of the Young Musician Competition at the City of London School for Girls. She recently made her concerto debut performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21 with orchestra at the Royal College of Music.
Outside her musical studies, Isabella enjoys reading, playing hockey, and spending time with her cat, Teddy.
