Welcome to the Students and Young Professionals Area of EPTA UK.

EPTA UK recognises the importance of supporting aspiring teachers and musicians from beginning their studies to stepping into the working world.  Whether you want to pursue a career in performance, start your own music school, are working towards a post-graduate research project or simply like to indulge in the enjoyment of piano playing, this is the hub for you.

EPTA UK Under 25s and Full Time Students membership provides all the same benefits (minus access to Bursary Funds) as our Full Professional package at a heavily discounted rate. Check out all your benefits here.

We recently created a Student and Young Professional committee, which is run for and by younger members of EPTA UK under the chairmanship of Adam Heron.
We are committed to welcoming younger teachers to EPTA and to offer support, training, advice, networking and opportunities to share research. If you are 35 or under and would like to become more engaged in EPTA, or just to receive information about webinars and other events that will be particularly relevant to you, then please sign up here.  (https://forms.office.com/e/QEa0bVfVZ6) This is a great platform to contribute to events, share post-graduate research documents in print, via webinar, or at conference.

Become a Student Ambassador and receive free membership of EPTA!

EPTA Student Ambassadors receive membership of EPTA, with all the above student benefits for free.

The role of the Student Ambassador:

· At the beginning of each academic year – to hand out EPTA leaflets to piano students and highlight the advantages of joining EPTA UK. To forward details about upcoming EPTA Students and Young Professionals events to your student cohort.

· To help to improve standards in piano teaching by encouraging discussion about piano pedagogy amongst music students.

· At the end of your term – to assign a new student ambassador and write a short paragraph or submit a short video outlining the highlights of your role and what you learned from this.

If you are interested in becoming a student ambassador, please contact our communications team: communications@epta-uk.online or annamcwatters@epta-uk.online
