Congratulations to our ‘Young Pianist of the Month’ (February 2026) – Amelie Shu Yann KOH 🎹🎉

Amelie Shu Yann KOH, born on 24th July 2017, the 2nd of 3 girls, has always been attuned to music from a very young age. She had forced her mum to teach her christmas songs in December 2019 when she was 2.5 years old!

Always one whom had enjoyed singing and playing, she can be found most (very early) mornings at the piano playing and singing Taylor Swift songs! And when not doing so, she’d be on her violin, or ballet, or knitting / crocheting!

In recent years, Amelie’s musical dedication has been recognised in several competitions, where she has achieved impressive results well beyond her age group:

  • Blackheath Music Festival, May 2023 (Singing) – Runner-up in the up to 12 years age group
  • EPTA UK National Piano Competition, February 2025 – First Prize, Elementary Category
  • EPTA Wallonie-Bruxelles International Piano Competition, November 2025 – Second Runner-up

Amelie’s achievements reflect not only her natural musicality but also her curiosity, discipline, and love for performance. As she continues to explore and develop her talents, it is clear that music will remain a joyful and integral part of her life.  Well done, Amelie!
