Creative Problem Solving in Piano Lessons – A professional development workshop with Paul Harris
EPTA Oxford | November 29th at 10 am
We’re pleased to invite you to a professional development workshop with Paul Harris, designed specifically for piano teachers and focused on creative problem-solving strategies for piano lessons.
I’m sure most of us own at least two or three of Paul Harris’s books on teaching, simultaneous learning, or sight-reading. One of the UK’s most influential music educationalists, Paul Harris is in great demand as a teacher, writer, and lecturer. His inspiring masterclasses and workshops continue to influence thousands of teachers around the world.
We’re delighted to welcome Paul Harris for the final workshop in this year’s professional development series. In this interactive two-and-a-half-hour workshop, with a 30-minute coffee break, Paul will explore strategies from his well-known books and creative problem-solving approaches in our teaching studios. The workshop will be shaped by participants’ questions and teaching challenges, so please come prepared with questions and case studies you’d like support with.
This workshop offers more than a chance to develop new teaching methods: it also creates space to reflect, discuss, and connect with fellow teachers. It’s an opportunity to refresh your musical thinking, strengthen your artistic purpose, and invest in your professional and personal growth.
We look forward to exploring these ideas together and to expanding our creativity.
Workshop: 10 am to 12.30 pm, with a coffee break in the middle.
