About Me

Caroline Swinburne M Mus, MA, Dip ABRSM, ATCL is an experienced piano teacher, also a practising music therapist. She initially gained a BA in music at Nottingham University, and a M Mus in Music Analysis at Goldsmiths College London, and then worked for many years as a radio producer and reporter for the BBC, before retraining as a music therapist. Caroline holds both the Trinity and the ABRSM diplomas in piano performance, and also the EPTA Cert PTC in piano pedagogy. She teaches privately from a well equipped teaching studio in the village of Over (CB24), nine miles to the north-west of Cambridge. Caroline is confident preparing pupils for ABRSM exams at all levels and has a 100 percent success level, with many pupils achieving Merit and Distinction.
