About Me
Amadeus Chun Kit LEUNG is a composer, conductor, violinist, music educator, and ordained licensed minister with over two decades of experience in music performance, education, and theological scholarship. Amadeus began violin studies at age eight and graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2003 with a Professional Diploma in Composition and Electronic Music, studying under Law Wing Fai, Prof. Clarence Mak, and Prof. Lo Hau Man. He attended masterclasses with internationally acclaimed composers including Krzysztof Penderecki, David Del Tredici, and Chen Yi. From 2006 to 2018, Amadeus served as violin and composition teacher, orchestra conductor-in-residence, and technical supervisor at the International Christian Quality Music Secondary and Primary School in Hong Kong, the only school in Hong Kong specialising in music education. In recognition of his contributions to music education, he received the Outstanding Teacher Award at the Tokyo International Youth Music Competition in 2019. In 2011, Amadeus founded Symphonic Cordiality HK, a non-profit orchestra dedicated to using music for charitable causes. As conductor, he has led performances with renowned artists including Irina Morozova and Anna Likhacheva at prestigious venues across Asia. Since 2018, he has expanded into music technology, publishing compositions, teaching materials, and educational applications on major digital platforms including YouTube and SoundCloud. Amadeus holds a PhD in Biblical Studies from Queens College of Theology, an MBA and MSc in Big Data and Business Intelligence from Universidad Isabel I, and an Honorary Doctor of Divinity from North Central Theological Seminary. Since July 2025, he has been serving as a postdoctoral research fellow at Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi Christian University, advancing his academic work in theology and the arts. He holds the Fellow of the London College of Music (FLCM), Fellow of the Guild of Musicians and Singers (FGMS), and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) distinctions. He is a Member of the European Piano Teachers Association (EPTA), an Ordinary Member of the Royal Musical Association (RMA), and a licensed minister with the National Association of Christian Ministers in the United States. In 2026, Amadeus founded the volunteer network Bezalel Network, further extending his commitment to community service and faith-based initiatives. Since 2022, he has been serving as a company director in the construction and property management sector, while maintaining his musical activities as a violinist and teacher at Cambridge Alliance Church and Chinese School.
