About Me
I am a private piano teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience. I have previously worked as a peripatetic piano teacher in both a local primary school and an all-age special educational needs school. My pupils range in age from 6 to over 70 and I enjoy teaching a wide variety of musical styles, including classical, jazz, pop and film music. I tailor my lessons to suit each individual pupil, taking into account their interests, goals and level of experience. For pupils wishing to take examinations, I offer preparation for both ABRSM and LCM exams. I provide piano lessons both online and in person, as well as music theory up to grade 5 and aural training up to grade 8 for all instrumentalists. Pupils also have the opportunity to perform in pupil concerts that I organise, as well as taking part in the annual EPTA Regional Concert and Contest. I also organise a termly meet up for adult pupils giving them an informal opportunity to perform. Alongside teaching, I enjoy performing regularly at an adult piano meetup group and also work as a church organist.
