About Me
Award-winning pianist Da-Hee Kim performs as a soloist and chamber musician throughout Europe. In recent seasons, she has performed at the Steinway Hall in London, Mostly Piano Recital Series at Drapers’ Hall in Coventry, Festival Arcades in France, Centre Culturel Coréen in Paris, and Salle Colonne in Paris, France. Mrs Kim won the 1st prize in Albert Roussel International Junior Piano Competition in Sofia, Concours International de Piano de Mérignac, Claude Bonneton International Piano Competition in Sète, and Valletta International Piano Competition. Most recently, she has been awarded the 2nd prize and Schott prize at 2nd Montecatini International Piano Competition. Passionate in chamber music, she has founded Duo Ainos with her brother Da-Min Kim, concertmaster of Marseille Philharmonic Orchestra. The Duo performed in the most prestigious venues in Europe including Musicales de Bagetelle, Arsenal de Metz, Salle Cortot in Paris, Pallazetto Bru Zane in Venice, Italy, etc. In 2014, They won 2nd place at International Chamber Music Competition of Lyon in Violin-Piano Duo. Their album released by the Lyrinx label ‘Tradition chez les modernes’ was widely acclaimed by the critics and was broadcast by KBS Music Room in South Korea. Mrs Kim earned her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University under the tutelage of Boris Slutsky after having completed the Diplômes de Formation Supérieur (the degrees of Bachelor and Master integrated) in Piano, Chamber Music, and Piano Accompaniment, a Master’s degree in Applied Music Theory at Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique (CNSM) de Paris, and Meisterklassendiplom (Artist Diploma equivalent) at Hochschule für Musik und Theater München. She continues her career as a performer and educator in the UK. She works as a full-time pianist at Elmhurst Ballet School since September 2024.
