About Me

Hello! I am a private piano teacher based in Southampton with 15 years of experience who is passionate about teaching and learning the piano and the study of music. My aim in teaching the piano is to support pupils to become capable and independent musicians who enjoy and love playing the piano and experiencing music for the rest of their lives. I encourage pupils to develop a positive and mindful attitude to learning, overcoming challenges to become confident and resilient musicians. It is fulfilling to be able to teach, support and encourage pupils during their musical journey and motivate them to achieve their goals. The age range of my students is from 6 years old to 70+. All abilities are welcome (from beginners to advanced)! Providing accessible and inclusive lessons and exam support is possible as I have seen an increase in numbers of pupils with neurodivergent conditions and special educational needs. Practical and Music Theory exam preparations for ABRSM, Trinity College London etc are available. I teach students of different levels and abilities (from the Initial Grade to the Diploma level), across different exam formats (such as face-to-face or recording). I also accompany instrumentalists for exams. The Annual Student Concert is very popular though it is not mandatory for students to participate.
