Congratulations to our ‘Young Pianist of the Month’ (May 2026) – Emily Kubay.
Emily studies piano with dedication and enthusiasm and has been taught by Megan Skinner since she was 4 years old. Now at the age of 11, she recently passed her Grade 8 exam with Distinction.
Her hard work and talent have already been recognised through competition success , including winning the United Learning Schools Piano Competition (Intermediate category) in 2024, and achieving first place in the Steinway Piano Competition (Foundation category) in June 2023.
A passionate and versatile young musician , Emily is also an accomplished violinist, currently working towards her Grade 6 exam, and a committed singer , having recently achieved Grade 6 Singing and now progressing to Grade 7. In addition to her individual pursuits, she plays a leading role in her school community as Orchestra Leader, demonstrating both musical ability and strong leadership.
Emily truly lives and breathes music, embracing every opportunity to perform and participate in musical events. With her enthusiasm, dedication, and love for music , she brings energy and joy to everything she does.
